Farm and Garden Days

A Hands-On Garden, Farm and Forest Experience
for Children Ages 6 to 12

Farm and Garden Days is a collaboration between The Nature Place and The Pfeiffer Center. Campers in this hands-on program focus on exploring Duryea Farm and the Pfeiffer Center’s biodynamic gardens.

Activities include working with soil, making compost, planting, harvesting, baking pizza in our outdoor clay oven, milking cows, plowing with plow-horses, working with sheep and sheep’s wool, holding chickens and collecting eggs, peeking inside honeybee hives, and much more!

There’s always time for daily swimming as well as some storytelling, singing, game playing, arts, crafts and of course, lunch! Campers can bring their own lunches or enjoy the hot lunch option offered by The Nature Place.
